Sankofa African Bazaar is an online store based in Baltimore, Maryland, dedicated to celebrating African culture through curated art, fashion, and home décor. From handcrafted jewelry and traditional fabrics to masks, sculptures, and clothing, Sankofa offers a vibrant blend of African craftsmanship and heritage.
Despite its rich product range, Sankofa needed a more robust digital presence to expand its reach and deliver a modern shopping experience. We partnered with the team to revamp their e-commerce platform using Lightspeed Commerce — equipping them with the tools to scale, connect, and convert.
The redesigned store features intuitive navigation, detailed product pages enriched with cultural context, optimized checkout flows, and built-in marketing tools. The result is a seamless, customer-focused experience that reflects the spirit of the brand and attracts a global audience.
